JKR Receives James Joyce Award in Dublin

As we reported a view days ago, J.K. Rowling was to receive a James Joyce award at University College in Dublin, Ireland. The award ceremony was held last night. According to the Independent, Jo read from [i]Deathly Hallows[/url], signed books, and answered questions from fans.

While at the awards Jo was noted as saying that she still intended to write a Harry Potter encyclopedia, the proceeds of which would go to charity. Also, from the ten fan questions, Jo admitted that she had the thought of Harry dying in the early books, but had changed her mind. However, when the final book was finished it was "like saying goodbye to an old boyfriend".
